It’s completely secure and a tool for when IT experts want to work on remote devices without being on-site. AnyDesk itself is secure, trusted and used by millions of people and 15,000 companies in 165 countries. The RBI’s warning was not about AnyDesk as an application, but the scammers who use remote access software to pretend to be from banks and other institutions and trick users into giving them access. Fraudsters are using the app to access sensitive, personal information leading to frauds. In February, the Reserve Bank of India sent an alert to banks and payment systems operators against use of AnyDesk.
